Integrity
Identity that holds up after onboarding
Traditional KYC verifies a person on day one. Identity integrity means being able to tell, at every login and transaction, that it's still the same person.

VP Corporate Development at artius.iD
I work on identity: how to prove a person is who they say they are, and keep proving it.
About
I'm VP Corporate Development at artius.iD, where I work on partnerships and growth for the company's identity security platform.
I'm a named inventor on U.S. patents covering identity verification. The work started from a simple observation: most systems check who you are once, at sign-up, and then trust a password or a code from then on. That gap is where synthetic identities, account takeovers, and deepfake fraud live.
Before artius.iD took its current name, the company was Q5ID, and the patents below were filed during that period. I've spent the years since on the same problem, from the business side: who needs strong identity, what it costs them when it fails, and how to make it something people will actually use.
Integrity
Traditional KYC verifies a person on day one. Identity integrity means being able to tell, at every login and transaction, that it's still the same person.
Access
Passwords and one-time codes were never proof of anything. Passwordless, presence-based authentication ties access to the person, not to something they remember.
Fraud
Fabricated identities and AI-generated faces and voices are getting cheap. Liveness detection and layered verification are how you tell a real person from a convincing copy.
Patents
Co-inventor on the patent family behind artius.iD's approach to verification: enrollment that combines biometrics, liveness detection and a live interview to establish a proven identity a person can then reuse and share on their own terms.

Portland
I live in Portland and put time into the institutions that make it work. I serve as president of my neighborhood homeowners' association board, which has taught me more about practical governance than most boardrooms.
I've written about local organizations I care about, including Oregon Children's Theatre's education programs.
